Heisman Winners Join Nissan and Habitat For Humanity to Build Homes in New Orleans

Nissan and Heisman Trophy Winners have collaborated with Habitat for Humanity to build houses for victims of hurricane Katrina.

New Orleans neighborhoods are still impacted by the destruction of Katrina. Heisman Trophy alums Danny, Wuerfell (QB, Florida, 1996), Eric Crouch (QB, Nebraska, 2001), Johnny Rodgers (RB, Nebraska, 1972), Mike Rozier (RB, Nebraska, 1983), George Roger (RB, South Carolina, 1980), and John Lattner (HB, Notre Dame, 1953) lent their time to the project. Danny Wuerffel painted his signature onto the home's new mailbox, while the other alums donated self-portraits and hidden autographs in addition to elbow grease.
